Easy homemade vaporizer?
yeah im just looking for some ideas for some easy homemade vaporizers
Heat water and then transfer it to a big bowl, wrap a big towel around the bottom (to hold in the heat) and put another towel over your head and lean over the top of the bowl, and you have an easy vaporizer.
Be careful so you don't get burned. Use your good common sense and this will work well for you.
I rub vicks vaporub on my neck and it helps get the breathing better.

Green Smoke Electronic Cigarette?
I just ordered the green smoke e cig starter kit. I smoke around a pack a day. For all you smokers who have tried an electronic cigarette, my question is that is it worth it? Does it actually feel and taste like a cigarette? Was it worth the starter kit price? And do you really save hundreds of dollars a year?
I tend to think Green Smoke is expensive. Its a KR808D model and you can buy one of those "unbranded" for under $50.00. I have heard their flavors are very good, but again you can buy e-liquid and refill blank or empty cartomizers cheaper.
Yes, they can be cheaper than smoking regular cigs depending on how much you smoked and how much you vape, where you get your stuff from etc.
Does it "feel" like a cigarette? Not really, but it IS an acceptable alternative. Taste is subjective BUT you aren't burning tobacco wrapped in paper so it won't taste like a tobacco cig no matter what anyone tells you. Is it acceptable? Yes. There are many, many flavors. You just have to try different ones until you find something you like.
It took me 2 weeks of playing with the e-cig, including buying a different model to get me off of tobacco. That was 5 months ago. Haven't had a cig since July 3rd. Yes, even with partying on July 4th!
Is it worth the work and hassle? YES!

Top 5 Reason to Buy a Vaporizer Instead of Making One
There are plenty of different designs to follow to make a homemade vaporizer. They are quite simple to put together and generally much cheaper than purchasing a manufactured product. The downside to this plan is that there are some definite drawbacks to making your own vaporizer which will be discussed later in the article.
The most obvious disadvantage of a homemade vaporizer is the actual experience that you may have when using it. With a vaporizer that has no defined temperature control, it is very easy to overheat and burn the substance that you are using in the vaporizer. This is contradictory to the whole concept of a vaporizer which is designed to heat without combustion. When this happens, you have essentially created a fire pit rather than a vaporizer. Heating substances like this and other materials such as plastic creates toxic fumes that can cause great harm to your system. The Natural Resources Defense Council's study of water systems for 19 U.S. cities found that pollution and deteriorating, out-of-date plumbing sometimes delivers unsafe drinking water.

Contaminates repeatedly found in the cities surveyed were lead, pathogens (germs), by-products of chlorine treatment, arsenic, and radon; a few ways these contaminates reach drinking water are from sewer system overflows after heavy rains, runoff from roads, agricultural and domestic fertilizers, and industrial pollutions leached into ground water.
Most people have switched to drinking bottled water, only to discover that our landfills are beyond capacity, thanks largely to the plastic bottles compounding the problem of pollution. The trend these days is the use of tap mounted and pitcher filtration devices. But the distillation process is becoming increasingly popular due to its efficiency.
How It Works
This method works just like the water cycle taught in elementary earth science. The water is heated to its boiling point until it creates steam by evaporation. The stable temperature keeps the water vaporization in process, meanwhile prohibiting contaminants and sediments from being evaporated. The evaporated water is captured and sent through to another container where it cools and condenses back into its liquid form.
Water distillation is effective in removing inorganic compounds, such as metals (iron and lead), hardness (calcium and magnesium), and other harmful contaminates from the water supply. Microorganisms such as bacteria and some viruses are discarded through the boiling process, which also helps to rid the water of some organic compounds and pesticides.

Vaporizer Buying Guide
Things to consider when purchasing your first vaporizer, in what most consider to be order of importance:
- PRICE! How much does price drive your choice? You can get a very good vaporizer for as little as $150, or you can spend upwards of $700 if price is of no concern. Just remember, more expensive does not equal better in the vaporizer world.
- Delivery system. In what social settings will you vaporize the most? If you’re a big social user, then consider a bag delivery system (Extreme, Volcano, Herbalaire, Vapormatic, etc.). All of these units also have an option to use the whip, except the Volcano.
- Efficiency. Do you have tons of tobacco or herbs and just want the biggest inhales attainable, or are you more concerned about making your tobacco/herbs last, or are you somewhere in between?
- Manufacturer. Make sure to buy something from a reputable manufacturer (All the vaporizers for sale on VapeNow.com are manufactured by reputable companies with which we have frequent contact). Don’t buy something cheap that you don’t know where it came from. Chances are it may have come from China, where it has been confirmed that some models are made with lead paint in the vapor path.
- Learning curve. Do you want something easy to use (usually means less temperature and delivery options, but not always), or are you comfortable with a steeper learning curve?
- Temperature control. Do you want a digital control with the temp readout, an analog control with just a dial, or no control using a unit that is preset at the factory? Any vaporizer worth its salt will produce vapor regardless of the temperature control feature, but more control can be good if you will be vaporizing different types of tobacco or herbs.
I suggest you sit down and answer these questions yourself before buying anything. Start with price, because if it’s out of your price range, none of the other variables matter.
Once you have answered the above questions, it’s time to start reading about different vaporizers in our Staff Review Section and online forums. Fuckcombustion.com is an especially good forum. Don’t jump to a thread and post your questions without first reading the thread or, at least, using the search function to find answers. Most of your questions have already been answered in these threads. If you can’t find the answer to your question, go the ‘Ask the Vaporists’ forum and post it up there. Most of the members here want to help you, but don’t want to clutter up model specific threads with repeated questions.
Here are our opinions on a couple of units to give you an idea of how to think about a vaporizer when purchasing it:
Purple Days
- Pros: Great company, great price, unbeatable efficiency.
- Cons: Not the best party vaporizer, but it can be done.
- Neutral: It has no temperature control, which can be a good thing. The lack of a temperature control makes the learning curve easier, but makes it less adaptable for other herbs.
Extreme

- Pros: Has a whip and bag delivery system, great customer service, very versatile with tons of bells and whistles like a remote, moderately efficient.
- Cons: Is not the best on the market for either whip or bag delivery, but is the best at doing both.
- Neutral: It is a new design that is going through some growing pains in terms of manufacturing defects, but the company’s unsurpassed customer service more than makes up for it.
VaporGenie
- Pros: Good company that will send free replacement screens and mouthpieces, truly portable and does not need electricity, great price, moderately efficient.
- Cons: Can use up a lot of butane, can burn your tobacco or herbs, semi-steep learning curve.
