I am smoking what I hope is my last cigarette, where do I go from here?
I’ve got cinnamon sticks,i plan on drinking alot of water i’ve tried nicorette gum and patches in the past, suckers and lollipops make my lips sticky, is there a good non nicotine gum that doesn’t have aspartame that will not rot my teeth? aspartame rots your mind according to some flight study done by the military where the subjects blacked out at high altitudes that were usually routine for pilots as well as slowed their reaction times
coffee makes me want to smoke so i may have to quit that also
what has helped you quit? I’ve heard some pills have pretty weird side effects, like strangling your spouse in their sleep (seriously)
i heard champx is the best
i would really like to be successful this time and do believe in cold turkey, smoking another cigarette is not an option
anyone have any suggestions? i know its asking alot but help.
Man that is rough, cold turkey. Best would be to gradually slow down from a pack a day, to 10 a day, to 5, to 2, to 1, to 2 a week, to 1 a week, to once a month, to eventually only smoking cigars on special occasion.
Besides locking yourself in a room for two weeks, and doing whatever you need to do to prevent yourself from dieing of boredom. Just try and fill that void with pain or pleasure. The nicotine urges only last from a few seconds or a few minutes, so it is easy to power through them. However, if you dont take your mind off it, they can easily last hours of just craving.
I mean besides just focusing on what you are doing, like work or watching tv. There is not much you can do. Work, focus on work, crave, do a push up drink some water, and in my experience, coffee actually aint that bad when you quit.
Best think though, is when you are craving, dont ignore it. Feel it, understand it, and talk to it. Tell it what you are doing and why. Can’t just ignore it, like when somone got mad at you and yelled at you. If you just not think about it, it sits in your mind and eats you up. However, if you rationalize about it, your mind and body comes to and ease.
But ya, thats just my little two cents, good luck man!
